Where do I start?
What are the red flags?
When should I have my child evaluated?

These questions are just the beginning and what follows can be challenging to say the least. First, not every social difficulty or communication issue is a sign of autism. Early indicators do not always lead to an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) diagnosis. With all the information out there it’s tempting to self diagnose your child or become overwhelmed and postpone a professional assessment. But we know that early intervention is key to helping children make valuable gains in their development, and a “wait-and-see” approach is usually not the best.

It can become very daunting to sift through the mountain of information on your own. There are a wide range of symptoms and an even wider range of information out there. At our Tampa location, we specialize in guiding you through our Evaluation and Intervention process. A positive, educated approach is the starting point to navigate what follows an ASD diagnosis. There is not a one-size-fits all treatment plan, your child and family are unique, and we understand this and guide intervention accordingly.

So, where to start? Below is a link to help you determine if your child is a candidate for evaluation. We understand this can be a overwhelming process, but it doesn’t have to be. We’re here to help. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
